The arrival of autumn in the northern hemisphere brings a new time change and at three o’clock on Sunday morning they are both again

On the night of this Sunday, October 28, the time is changed for the second time this year. On this occasion the clocks are delayed by one hour, and at three in the morning they are both again. An extra hour of sleep this weekend, which always comes loaded with debate. This time change is part of a European directive that affects all EU Member States and aims to make better use of sunlight hours to consume less electricity.

Twice a year we Europeans adjust our watches to comply with the EU Directive 2000/84 / EC. Normally it is the last weekend of October for the change of winter schedule, and the last of March for the summer. In Autumn we put the clock back one hour, and in Spring, we advance it.
